Receiving the Sacraments in Ljubljana
Every Sunday during the Mass in St Mary’s Chapel all attending Catholics who are in a state of grace are invited to receive the Eucharist if they wish to.
The sacrament of reconciliation is available in English at St Joseph’s church by request (…?)
If you want to receive one of the other Holy Sacraments in the English language and you are based in on near Ljubljana, please contact Fr Damjan Ristic.
Baptism – Catholic parents may request the sacrament of Baptism for their child; this sacrament is also available for unbaptised adults who wish to become Catholic.
First Communion – children normally receive this sacrament for the first time around the age of 7-9 years, along with the sacrament of reconciliation (first confession) in preparation.
Confirmation – this is usually received by children aged 13 years or older; adults wishing to become Catholic can also request this sacrament if they have already been baptised as Christians.
Matrimony – if at least one of you is a confirmed Catholic and current or former regular attendee of EML, contact Fr Damjan about celebrating your wedding at St Joseph’s.
Anointing of the Sick – Fr Damjan can visit you or your loved ones to provide this sacrament if it is needed, or simply to pray with you or share the Eucharist with those who are housebound.
